Wraps can look very intimidating to the first time user, but they are well worth the investment. A learning curve is needed in the beginning, but wrpas quickly become second nature.

When Are Wraps Best?
- Premature Babies
- Wraps provide a very unique tummy-to-tummy feature that no other carrier does. Put the wrap on with nothing underneath to provide full coverage of yourself as well as the important skin-to-skin contact that is important to your baby's development.
- Long Walks
- Wraps eveny divide the weight of your baby across your shoulders, back, and stomach. This allows you to carry your baby around for much longer periods of time. Perfect for walks to places where strollers just won't fit.
- Snow Storms!
- I had to throw this one in just because of my own experience. This past winter, we had 2-3 feet of snow drop. Not a plow was in sight, but my daughter had come down with a fever. The closest walk-in clinic was 6 Km away. I took my 2.5-year-old daughter, strapped her to myself in our wrap for the first time in a year and we waddled through that snow to get there just before they were about to close. Phew! She came out A-okay :)
- Winter
- Don't pack up that maternity jacket just yet! Wrap up your little one in a wrap, then throw on your old maternity jacket overtop. Extra warmth for the both of you as you share each other's heat.
- Busy Moms and Dads
- Is there a mom or dad this one doesn't apply to? Learn the back carry wrapping styles, and enjoy a napping baby on your back while you check off all your house chores.
- Shy Breastfeeders
- There's no need to be bashfull, but it's perfectly normal to want some coverage as you breastfeed your little one. There are a few wrapping styles that can facilitate breastfeeding without having to untie it completely. Alternatively, you can remove the wrap completely and use it to toss over your shoulder for minimal coverage.
If you are a first timer, try a longer wrap. If you feel ready to be a pro wrapper, hop on to the shorter lengths.
